Part of the process

Design support is something we provide as part of our manufacturing process. It’s not a separate service.

When a customer is ready to move into production with us, we review the design to make sure it works for injection moulding or extrusion. That includes looking at how the part will mould and flagging anything that could cause issues with tooling or part quality.

What we look for

We focus on the practical side of production. Our team checks the design for:

Wall thickness that suits the selected material
Draft angles that allow for clean ejection
Undercuts that may need slides or lifters
Material flow that could lead to short shots or warping
Features that add cost without adding value

We explain what needs changing and why. The aim is to prevent issues before the tool is built and to give you a smoother production run.

Based on how we mould your part

Our advice is based on how we plan to run the tool. Our NPI and Quality teams work closely with Tooling and Production to make sure the design suits our moulding process. This helps keep lead times on track and gives you confidence before tooling begins.
